Archives of Falconry

We created a three-part documentary series for the Archives of Falconry, showcasing the meticulous craft and material culture of the 6,000-year-old sport's master artisans.

The Archives of Falconry, a non-profit dedicated to the 6,000-year-old sport of falconry, tasked us with creating a documentary series to capture its enduring legacy.

The goal was to showcase the "material culture" of the sport by focusing on the master craftsmen who create its essential tools.

We produced a three-part, long-form documentary series, with each 45-50 minute episode offering an intimate look at a master artisan: a bell maker, a glove maker, and a block maker. Through multiple shoots, we captured the meticulous, time-honored process behind each unique craft.

In addition to filming and editing the series, we developed a complete creative package to elevate the storytelling. Our team designed and animated a custom title sequence and a full graphics package that visually breaks down the creation of each item, giving viewers an immediate appreciation for the artisanship involved.

Title Sequences

We created a unique title sequence for each episode based on the craft being featured.
